Preregistration Closed

Krug

As of now, preregistration for Northeast Wars IX has closed. If you missed the deadline, don’t despair. You can still get in on the gaming action at Northeast Wars. Just visit the con registration desk when you arrive at the inn and our friendly staff will be happy to set you up with a badge for the weekend or just that day in particular. A weekend badge for a walk-in conventioneer is $50, while Friday, Saturday, and Sunday-only badges are $10, $25 and $10, respectively.

The up-shot of all this is the convention is only four days away. Woo-hoo! See you at the inn Friday evening! If you’re not already planning to arrive early for the greet and game in the tavern, think about it. What better appetizer for a solid weekend of gaming than pub fare and even more gaming?

Preregistration Closes March 30th

Krug

All things come to an end, including the preregistration period for Northeast Wars. At the time of this posting, there are a mere 136 hours remaining for convention hopefuls to get their preregistration information submitted via the Register page.

In addition to saving money compared to buying a badge at the door, which goes for $50, preregistering allows conventioneers to reserve seats at the game of their choice, sparing the need to rush the sign-up sheets upon arriving at Northeast Wars.

Moreover, the group registration deal, for war bands of five or more, ends with the preregistration deal as well. This is a great opportunity for gaming groups to hit the convention en masse in economy and style. You can read more about that on the Register page as well.

Remember, get your preregistration form submitted before the close of March 30th!

Group Discount for Warbands of Five or More

Krug

Get the raiding party together. Northeast Wars is offering a discount for adventuring parties at this year’s convention.

From now until preregistration closes on March 30th, groups of five or more that preregister together for weekend badges pay only $30 per person. To take advantage of this offer, just write an email giving your party’s contact details and event sign-up preferences to northeastwars@gmail.com with the subject line “Group Registration.” A friendly staffer will help get your group all set for the convention.

To find out more about preregistering, including payment options — now with 100% more Paypal! — visit the Register page.

Preregister for Northeast Wars with Ease

Krug

In the name of making preregistration for Northeast Wars as painless as possible, we’ve added another payment method to the arsenal: Paypal. After you fill out and submit the preregistration form, the confirmation page now includes buttons for adding your badge and T-shirt to a Paypal cart.

One of the benefits of preregistering, aside from reserving your spot at those gotta play games, will be a snazzy printed badge. When your opponent across the table cringes at the thunderous clatter of your dice, they won’t have to wonder about the name of the person schooling them. It’ll be staring back at them in forty-eight point font.

It’s good to be a gamer.

Warhammer Fantasy and You

SheepLord

The Warhammer Fantasy event takes shape. The referees, Antonin and Brian, have some great ideas, but would like your input. Specifically, how many experienced players want to participate versus how many people who have yet to taste the joy of driving your enemies’ miniatures before you and hearing the lamentations of their owners want to get in on the action?

We very much want to set up an event to be “noob” friendly, with people there to walk you through your first game. Also, pre-painted armies will be waiting for deployment on the field of battle. More experienced gamers, know that you can play with your own army or a supplied army on a table with great terrain. We hope to have several early battles that will lead up to a big battle in the end with maximum carnage!

Our efforts will be facilitated by knowing roughly how many new players we can expect. Even if you don’t want to register for Northeast Wars now — though the sooner you sign up the sooner you can take advantage of the pre-reg discount and ensure that you will have a place at the table — write a comment saying that you are interested or even just send in an email.

Finally, we will have prizes! I am currently painting up the greenskin half of the Battle of Skull Pass box, and Antonin is painting up the Dwarf half. They will be available for play; and if we get enough participation, they will be used as prizes! So, sign up, show up, learn to play, and you could be walking away with your own painted army. Not too shabby . . .
